Alternative Pest Control recommends flea control service if you have indoor pets. We consider ourselves flea specialists, are recommended by a number of local vets and have developed a flea control program that is very effective. The most important factor in controlling flea populations in our climate is to start early. Fleas go through the same four life stages as butterflies. By the time our customers and their pets are bothered by the adult fleas there are three pre-adult stage flea populations living in their home.

Our flea service includes treating all of the floor surfaces of your home.

Our flea service includes treating all of the floor surfaces of your home. The chemicals that we use are designed to leave a residual in carpet that will continue killing flees as they emerge from their cocoons. There is also an additive that kills the eggs that prevents them from reaching the adult stage. Any fleas in the cocoon stage at the time of the treatment will not be killed until they emerge.

This process may take up to two weeks, but residual in the carpet will kill the fleas within 24 hours as they emerge from the cocoon. We cannot guarantee concrete areas and cleaning the carpets will void the guarantee. For more information and directions about what you need to do before we arrive to treat, please read our information on flea treatment preparation.

Lawn Treatment For Fleas

Lawn Treatment For Fleas

This is treatment is most effective in an enclosed area within a fence or any area where your pets are confined. Areas are treated at a rate of approximately 50 gallons per ¼ acre for the control of fleas. It is effective for 2 to 3 months. Lawn treatments are helpful in cutting the flea population; however, they are not guaranteed because many factors are out of our control, such as weather, cutting grass, lots of pine straw, etc.
